Arun Gupta is a disciple of HH Gopal Krishna Goswami of ISKCON and an active member of ISKCON for the last 26 years. Born in Bijnor (U.P.) on 22 April 1950 and brought up in Rajasthan, Arun went to USA at the age of 19 as one of the first Rotary International Undergraduate scholar and goodwill ambassador from India. The scholarship required the scholars to promote the understanding of culture of India in USA. Consequently, he has been studying and speaking on the spiritual and social culture of India since 1969. He finished all of his university education in USA, earning a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and MBA in marketing from University of Missouri. He has worked in many MNC’s in USA for 33 years; last 20 years at Hewlett Packard in Boise Idaho in the company’s Laserjet printer marketing department in various managerial positions. While traveling as a student in the USA, Arun had seen Hare Krisna devotees singing and dancing in the streets of New York City and finally he came in contact with a Hare Krishna devotee in 1973 who gave him a copy of Bhagavad Gita As It Is written by Srila Prabhupada, the founder acharya of ISKCON. That started a spiritual quest and journey that is still continuing. While working at HP in remote Boise, he and his wife realized the need of bringing up their two sons in a Vedic spiritual and cultural setting that lead to the opening of a small preaching center there. With a humble beginning in their family room in 1986, the congregation grew to the point that they constructed a temple in 1999 (you can visit the website at (www.Boisetemple.org). The combination of work at HP and preaching at the temple resulted in the realization that Bhagavad Gita is also a Management textbook and our lives will be much better off if we understood and followed the Bhagavad Gita. The belief was further solidified when his wife homeschooled both of their boys using Gita and Bhagavatam as the primary textbooks. Both the boys skipped high school entirely, got admitted to university at the age of 12 and 13, graduating with honors at 17 and 18 years and went on to do their Ph. D’s from Oxford University in UK in topics related to Bhagavad Gita and Bhagavatam. Arun took early retirement in 2005 on the advice of his guru HH Gopal Krishna Goswami to devote full time to the Boise temple and speak and consult on contemporary management topics such as Business Ethics, Workplace Spirituality, Balancing home and work life based on the Bhagavad Gita. He has given talks and seminars in USA, Europe, So. America and India. He is also a director and Chief Mentor at ISKCON Delhi’s VSERVE training division that conducts corporate training based on wisdom of the Vedas; Director at Bhaktivedanta College in Belgium. BC is a unique college which provides accredited degrees in Education and Theology in a spiritual Vaishnava environment. Arun divides his time equally between Corporate preaching and grahstha (family) counseling in India, Europe and USA. My ideology is simple; It is stated in 7th verse of Gita Mahatmya and explained by Srila Prabhupada as follows: ekam sastram devaki-putra-gitam 	eko devo devaki-putra eva eko mantras tasya nämäni yäni	karmäpy ekam tasya devasya sevä In this present day, people are very much eager to have one scripture, one God, one religion, and one occupation. Therefore: ekam sästram devaki-putra-gitam: let there be one scripture only, one common scripture for the whole world-Bhagavad-gitä. Eko devo devaki-putra eva: let there be one God for the whole world-Sri Krishna. Eko mantras tasya nämäni: and one hymn, one mantra, one prayer—the chanting of His name: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Räma, Hare Räma, Räma Räma, Hare Hare. Karmäpy ekam tasya devasya sevä: and let there be one work only—the service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
