We all have heard the saying that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. However, when it comes to Apples, there are a couple of them that changed the way we look at things in general and no, not all of them are the edible kind. Confused? Read all to know which four apples are we talking about!

Adam’s Apple:

This one comes straight from the Bible and has had sketchy, often misinterpreted versions of it – legend says that God created Adam and Eve and gave them everything that they needed to survive – however, there was a forbidden tree, the fruits of which bore great knowledge and wisdom, however as said earlier, it was forbidden to eat the fruit of that tree! However, soon Adam gave into temptation and ate a fruit (which was represented as an apple) and soon after that, the cycle of civilization began. However, the fruit was not an apple per se, but is only portrayed as one. Another theory is that Adam took a bite of the Apple that got stuck in his throat, thus forming the “Adam’s apple”, a perpendicular body structure that helps protect the walls and the frontal part of the larynx that are found in both men and women, but are more pronounced in men.

Newton’s Apple

Issac Newton was the man who changed the way we look at the Universe. And it all started with an apple. Once when Newton was sitting in his garden, an apple fell from the tree above and Bingo! Newton wondered that no matter how high he threw the apple from the ground, it always came back. This led to him discovering the Law of Gravity – one of the most important revelation in World Science.

The iPhone apple

How can this apple be left behind in the list? One of the most revolutionary products of the last decade, it all started by the founder of iPhone and the CEO of “Apple Inc”, the late Steve Jobs sending an email to his employees asking them to investigate the use of touchscreen devices and tablet computers. On June 29, 2007 (according to Wikipedia) the first iPhone was launched and it has since then revolutionised the mobile industry. This year, the iPhone X was launched and the world went into a frenzy! Till date, this range of smartphones remains the most bought product in the market and its world class technology, camera quality and iOS operating system makes it a winner all the way!

Apple Fruit

We mentioned in the beginning that an apple a day keeps the doctor away and we were not going to leave without telling you all about the original “apple” and the humble fruit. Apples are extremely rich in antioxidants and the phytonutrients present in apples may lower the risk of cancer, diabetes, hypertension and heart diseases. (Source: MedicalNews) Not only this, an apple is a great remedy for sudden migraines and a whole apple contains as little as 52 calories, making it the perfect mid-meal snack. It can also be used in a variety of ways, including in marmalades, desserts and even salads!
