India is home to one of the world's most ancient and revered civilizations, where remarkable progress has regularly been made through the ages, including in the frontiers of science and spiritualism.

Therefore, it's a nation that holds immense admiration for consciousness researcher, international lecturer and former NASA physicist Thomas (Tom) Campbell, based in the United States, who remains fascinated by the age-old wisdom of such cultures, even as he participates in -- and follows -- the latest technological leaps being made in modern societies around the globe.

Tom sees many correlations between his science based understanding of reality and the spiritual teachings of the eastern traditions and Buddhism. His scientific concept of this world as a virtual reality is very similar to what the Buddha said when he described this world is an "illusion".
 
By demanding high-quality repeatable, empirical, and evidential data to separate what's real (exists independently and externally) from what's imaginary or illusory, Tom has scientifically derived this new model of consciousness and reality -- which is being increasingly accepted by scientists and spiritualists alike. This unique perspective of our reality has been compiled into a trilogy of books -- entitled 'My Big TOE (Theory of Everything)'.

From his childhood onwards, Tom experienced many spiritual journeys and some of these he would later re-experience in his search for the questions he wanted science to answer: How does this reality work? What is our purpose here?

For the past forty years, Tom has been focused on scientifically exploring the properties, boundaries, and abilities of consciousness. His books, videos and workshops have reached millions of people around the world and have changed lives and opened eyes to a new way of thinking about reality: a new way of understanding physics, and a new way of understanding who, what and why we are.  Tom's model or reality represents a big picture perspective that unites the objective and subjective worlds of mind and matter, physics and metaphysics, normal and paranormal, secular and religious, and leads to both a better, more comprehensive physics and  a more peaceful, giving, and loving approach to life. 
 
The MBT trilogy combines his work as a large complex systems analyst and as an explorer of the large complex system we call reality to conclude that LOVE is the fabric of our reality. 
 
He was recently recognized with an award by The One World Family organization for his contribution to their "Be the Change" ideals of Gandhi.
