All good things come to an end
Diwali might have come and gone and while most of us are struggling to get back to our normal lives, it is the all night festivity and fervor that we will miss. However as they say, all good things come to an end, here are ways to shrug off the festival madness and get back to being normal
Get some sleep
After nights of endless partying and cards, its time to hit the sack. Get on your dose of daily sleep and you will wake up feeling refreshed.
Drink lots of water
Festivals can dehydrate you with endless amount of ghee and sugar in everything. Make sure you drink three litres of water everyday to make up for the loss.
Exercise
Even if you are too tired, do some exercise everyday to burn off all the calories you have gained because of the binge eating.
Don’t delay work
It’s always tough getting back to work after a festival, but do it as soon as it is possible. More the delay sets in, the harder it is.
Eat well
Go easy on the junk food and mithai. Spend a few days eating home made food only. This will also make you feel super light and energetic.
Pamper yourself
Go for a hot oil massage or a spa session. Festivals can make you feel tired so this is your best bet to drive away the blues.
Stay away from too much coffee
You might resort to having too much coffee to keep you away from dozing off at work but avoid. Coffee will dehydrate your system further and make you feel lethargic.
Have green tea
Green tea is full of anti-oxidants and is a great tool to lose weight as well. However make sure not to have more than 2 cups per day.
Look forward to work
Meeting old colleagues, the usual office gossip and the lunch breaks will be enough to motivate you. Give it a try!
Spend some time indoors
Do things that you could not even think of before the festival started. Grow a new plant or make a new painting.
Look forward to the next one
The great thing about living in this country is there is a festival every month! And you can very soon look forward to another round of festivities.
