TRUE FINDERS ARE VERY FEW

When you are on your own, where are you taking refuge? Most seekers are taking refuge somewhere. What ideas about yourself and what ideas about the Absolute are you taking refuge in? If you want to be free, then you have to look into all of your beliefs.

You have to find out who you really think you are. Most seekers, knowingly or unknowingly, are ceaselessly cultivating a relationship between their individual sense of self and a larger idea of Self. So much of spiritual practice and experience is made up of the pursuit and cultivation of a relationship between an idea of a small self and an idea of a big Self, between an idea of man and an idea of God, between an idea of earth and an idea of heaven. In fact, it is the pursuit and cultivation of this very relationship that is often believed to be the path to salvation. Why is this a problem? Because unless the seeker finally comes to that point in his own evolution where they discover for themselves that no relationship actually exists between a small self and a big Self, between man and God, between earth and heaven, they will never become a true finder.

Realising this is so important. In fact, our success depends on it entirely. It is in profound understanding that the real meaning of spiritual freedom is known. In that understanding, all relationship comes to an end. True finders are few and far between.
