Eating a healthy meal and doing a bit of exercise constitutes a healthy lifestyle for any corporate employee or a busy person. Yet, I have seen many who find it difficult to maintain their workload and other engagements, therefore they are not able to pay proper attention to their health. Busy schedules make them unable to spend even 10 minutes doing light exercises or some yoga poses. Going for a morning or evening walk would be an absolute no-no for them.
While searching for some advice on what to eat to stay fit and healthy, I came across an article posted in The Dr. Keshia Gaines mini-magazine on the Internet. The article is written by Lolitta Dozier, Dr. Gaines’s executive editor. Though there are couple of items that vegetarians and especially Indians may not prefer, but some of the items can be tried for health and also for the sake of introducing new food items to your diet.
The Dr. Keshia Gaines Magazine lists Taco Salad, which I would like to try because I have eaten something similar in Gurgaon off the food trucks there. It is easily digestible and is tasty enough to be tried on any given day. I remember eating it with great delight while roaming with my friend and doing some shopping. We even skipped dinner for couple of times and ate these tacos only.
Lolitta Dozier mentions Weeknight Spaghetti, which is totally vegetarian and can be eaten on a daily basis. I wouldn’t mind eating it because while traveling to Rome from Delhi, I tried Spaghetti on-board Alitalia Airlines and it was not bad at all. Further, I have eaten it in an Ashram in Puttaparti in the Western canteen too. Overall, it is a good choice!
Homemade Pizza is an absolute favorite for children and adults alike. My wife makes it and it is just delicious.
Overall, all of these items are good and as per the author, these are all healthy choices you will just love.
I wish the readers of ST make healthy choices when it comes to eating food and also maintain at least a few minutes of exercise to keep their body and mind in good shape! For more healthy choices, please read more cooking tips and healthy eating advice from The Dr. Keshia Gaines Magazine.
