How often are we on the God network? People whose goal in life is God try to be in yoga 60/24/7 – 60 minutes an hour, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. What does it mean to be in God network? It means that one is always connected to God, just like a sim card that is always connected to its mobile network. What happens when one goes on roaming mode? The sim card starts receiving alerts for various different networks, which are displayed as text messages, and very often, we lose connectivity. The same happens with our mind.
Our mind is like a sim card that alerts us every other moment it loses connectivity with God and connects onto other networks ‑ that is, other thoughts, ideas, problems, cravings, desires, attractions ‑ and thus, we lose the “God connectivity”. Moments later, we realize that we are on a wrong network. This way, we have lost the God network. In such a case, what are we supposed to do? We must gently come back to the God network!
All that we need to do is to take our mind away gently from the wrong network onto the God network. Don’t you feel so that your mind sometimes just moves onto a thought, a problem, or something that you feel like doing and in the bargain, your yoga ‑ connectivity with God ‑ is lost. It is not lost permanently, but temporarily the network has changed.
Sometimes, you find that you are not on the God network anymore, just like when you look on your mobile to find that you have moved to a different network. One has to learn to be on God network as much as one can if the goal is yoga – to be in union with God ‑ and not let the mind ping for other networks. This happens through simple exercises of renunciation and discrimination. If we are genuinely seeking and longing for God, then we will be blessed to be on the God network all the time. This is how one attains Nirvana: by being on the God network all the time.
