Swati Piramal

Swati Piramal is the Vice Chairperson of Piramal Enterprises Ltd (formerly known as Piramal Healthcare), a leading drug discovery company that aims to bring affordable medicines to the common man. Born in a typical Gujarati family, she went against the tide and earned an M.B.B.S from Mumbai University in 1980, followed by a Master’s degree from the Harvard School of Public Health.

She is one of the first women in India to head the helm at a pharmaceutical company. At home, she is a proud mother to Nandini and Anand Piramal.

Maureen Wadia

Largely known as the woman who single-handedly gave India its maximum super models, Maureen Wadia is a former air hostess, who heads Gladrags magazine and is one of the forces behind the Mrs India beauty pageant. Even though her husband Nusli Wadia is the chairman of the widely successful Wadia group (which owns conglomerates such as Go Air, Britannia and Bombay Dyeing), Maureen carved her own niche away from the family business. She is mother to Ness and Jehangir Wadia.

Indira Nooyi

Indira Nooyi is the CEO of Pepsico and an Indian born naturalized citizen. She has been consistently featured in the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list by Forbes magazine. A self-confessed workaholic, this 60-year-old admits that women “still can’t have it all” in life. She is mother to Preetha and Tara Nooyi and amongst self-accused “claims” of not being a great mother, she paints the perfect picture of a woman who effortlessly seems to manage it all.

Sulajja Firodia Motwani

Apart from being the Joint Managing Director of Kinetic Motor Company Limited, Sulajja is a fitness enthusiast, marathon runner and a doting mother to 11-year-old Siddhnath. Sulajja played a major role in designing and implementing new strategies for India’s most loved two-wheeler company. The 45-year-old seems to manage the balancing act pretty well, since in her own words, “I do what I do as I love everything that I do.”

Roshni Nadar Malhotra

Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the only child of tech billionaire Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of the HCL group. She currently holds the post of the Executive Director and the CEO of HCL Corporation, a responsibility that was handed over to her at the young age of 28. She is a proud mom to her 14-month-old son, Armaan, and is being groomed to take over from her father. In between grueling work schedules and baby time, this Northwestern University alumni is a travel and yoga enthusiast too.
