GOD needs no introduction, but when we talk about GOD we often refer to God as "he"..He`s soo benign, loving, is omnipresent, and so on.
God is a subtle, infinitesimal point of light.
But light is not gender-based is it.?? we never refer to light as "he" or "she". Talking in biological terms life comes into existence from a male and female, though a female nurtures the life and therefore we call our ecosystem mother nature. Sure God created everything, and nurturing every form of life or matter in the universe then why is God referred to as a father? why not a mother? Is it due to the social domination which males enjoy, which makes us all refer God as "HE"? This concretes the domination even more.
Once i visit Brahmakumari center and they kept saying, he, he, he while referring to God. So asked them, What is God? They said God is one source of all beings. One light. All religions say the same. God is one. Yet a common factor is the Male gender. We are visual beings, i agree. But if God is one and an infinitesimal point of light then why genderize?
I humbly urge all spiritual gurus to spread this awareness.
