We have so many things to do in life ‑ we want to be happy, we want to do our duty, we want to learn, we want to grow, we want to achieve, we want to pray, we want to be healthy, and so on ‑ are they all not very, very important? Yes, each of these is important in its own way. But what is the priority of life?
The most important priority of life is just one: to realize who you are; to find the Power who created this universe ‑ not to find in the sense to see, touch, and meet, but to understand and realize the Power of creation and the power within; to realize that we are the divine spirit ‑ the Atman, the soul; and to realize God and the self. This is one single largest priority of life.
With this comes everything: happiness, health, duty, God, and everything else. If we realize God, we have achieved the purpose of life. We automatically get into a state of Nirvana, Moksh, Mukti, Bliss and Ananda. We get into a state of everlasting joy! We evolve and transcend. Health doesn’t matter because we are not the body. We are the divine spirit that becomes one with God. The wave realizes that it’s not just the wave, but the ocean itself. We realize that we are not the air in a pot, but we are a part of the air that is across the entire universe. When the pot breaks, the air in the pot merges with the surrounding air. Similarly, when life on this Earth ends, the power within us joins the Universal Power. Therefore, the single largest priority of life is to realize this truth ‑ to realize God
