ABOUT ME

In early 1979  I spent whole day at Dakshineswar and Belur Math temples near Kolkata and had some unexplainable mystic experiences and from that day onward Thakur Sri Ram Krishna Paramhansa Ji came to  my life as Divine blessing. Sometime later during my visit to Geeta Vatika at Gorakhpur I had a great opportunity of meeting the respected saint Sri Sri Radhe Baba Ji. He held my hands for a few minutes, quite contrary to the normal practice whereby  he would not touch anyone, as told to me. At that time I was not aware of the value of what was given to me in those precious moments. But now recollection of this experience fills me with deep sense of gratitude.

In May 1998 I had Near death experience in a highly reputed hospital in Kolkata where I was admitted for about three weeks with a complicated lump in my stomach. Best medical care possible was being given to me under supervision of a team of doctors. Finally it was decided to go for surgery with dim chance of survival. I was taken to operation theatre and doctors on rechecking found the lump had vanished and there was no need for surgery. It was His Grace and a turning point in my life and never to look back. Reiki became a way of my life.

REIKI  KENDRA 
Reiki Kendra founded and established by Mr Amar Kumar in 1998, is one of the oldest   \"Reiki Training and Treatment Centre\"   in the country duly registered with Govt. of West Bengal and Govt. Of India, located in Alipore in Kolkata, where Reiki is practiced in its original form.

Thousands of people have benefitted from learning Reiki here in its original form. Reiki Kendra's mission is to make Reiki available to people in its purest and traditional form and it has been organising training workshops in various parts of the country and abroad with Mr Amar Kumar as course conductor. In last so many years Reiki has been introduced by him in places like Malda, Burdwan, Chandannagore, Durgapur, Chakdah, Binnaguri, Gwalior etc. Workshops are also held in Mumbai, Delhi, Jamshedpur, Patna, Dhanbad, Asansol etc.
Reiki was also introduced for first time in Malaysia and Africa by him . He has also conducted Reiki classes in Bangladesh.He has students and clients in many countries.

Reiki Kendra  also provides specially developed training programs to  the corporate world, for equipping executives with Reiki and Meditation, as  tools for managing their stressful lives. He also trains people in Yoga, Meditation, Pranayam, Relaxation exercises for distressing etc

Mr. Amar Kumar is a well known Traditional Reiki Master Teacher  (highest level attainable in Reiki, equivalent to Grand Master) . Mr. Amar Kumar has intensive experience in other healing arts also, such as Yoga, Five Tibetan Rites, Art of Living, Past Life Regression, Nadi Prana Release, Pranik Healing, Fire Walking etc. He gives a lot of importance to daily meditation practice and in the Reiki workshops,  participants are exposed to meditation techniques developed by him. One is amazed with the depth in meditation experienced in 2 days Reiki workshops.

He is a graduate Mechanical Engineer (BIT, Ranchi) and an MBA (XLRI Jamshedpur). He opted to pursue Reiki on full time basis after taking pre-mature separation, seven years prior to retirement, resigning the post of Senior Vice President in Birla Group.

He is a very senior Reiki Master in the country and has vast experience in healing various physical and mental chronic diseases etc.

Mr. Amar Kumar is well known for his devotion to healing and has clients in many countries, who seek           ' Distance Reiki '   healing sessions from him.
 
Initially, for almost about five years, he conducted monthly workshops, sponsored by Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture, at their premises at Regent Park, Kolkata. And observing the benefits Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture also started a Reiki Clinic with trained Reiki Practitioners under his supervision,
